The space

2 double bedrooms are adequate for 4 adults, we also have a single bed with a trundle underneath ideal for children or 1 adult…the room sizes are excellent! We also have a super comfy sofa bed in the living room that can sleep a further 2 people, a travel cot and high chair can be provided if requested. All in all the whole house is a perfect size for any trip you are planning. Even better there is a Lidls supermarket about 20 steps away which is ideal for breakfast and last minute shopping on arrival!

The house itself is ideally located to a supermarket, beach and local bus route. Also the town centre is a short 10 min walk away, the neighbours are great as well! You really have to stay here to see for yourself!

Getting around

A favourite walk of mine is along Victoria Walk which takes you along the top of the cliffs overlooking the ocean, its simply stunning! This leads you onto the beach and local harbour which if your lucky you can spot seals, dolphins and even whales given the right time of year!

The house was just what we needed, we had a dog with us and the fenced back garden was perfect. The house is on a nice quiet road and having the Lidl just across the road was so handy.

This was a brilliant place for an overnight stay, and on the best side of town to get to the Scrabster ferry. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, right next to Lidl, a few seconds’ walk from the seafront and an easy walk into the town for dinner.
Ben was really friendly and helpful in commication.

We stayed at Ben’s place for two separate overnights, either side of a 10-day trip to Orkney via Scrabster. It was perfect for this – easy to reach after a long drive on the NC500, very quick drive to the ferry early next morning and easy to get back to after a late return ferry. The house was homey and comfortable for our family of five and we had everything we needed for cooking. Ben was very responsive and helpful. We would certainly stay again. Thanks Ben and Emma!

There were five adults and a dog in our party and Ben’s place worked well for all our needs. We prepared most of our own meals in the well equipped kitchen. Ben was immensely helpful. We were having difficulty operating the heating system late at night which was not due to anything Ben could have anticipated but he personally came over at close to midnight to sort it out for us. We did not expect that and are immensely impressed with and appreciative of his concern, response and attention. We felt safe and comfortable walking in the neighborhood. The back garden was fenced and larger than expected for our dog. It was less than a block walk to a major grocery store. The neighborhood was quiet and the views of the sea were a delightful surprise. We would definitely return to stay there.

This was a lovely place to stay! It was very clean and spacious, fitting a small group. It was close to a big shop and had everything we needed to cook meals. Ben was very friendly and gave great instructions!
